How are unit rate useful?

    Unit rate is useful because it describes how much of something can be done in a certain amount of time. For example, if a car is going 80 kilometers an hour, you can determine how long it will take the car to reach it's destination if given the distance. Without unit rate it would be difficult to describe this.
