    Distribute the variable and number into the parentheses

    b^2 + 2b + 3b + 6

    b^2 + 5b + 6

    In order to factor this polynomial, we have to find factors of 6 that would equal 5:

    6 + 1 = 7

    Hmm, looks like that doesn't work

    3 + 2 = 5

    Looks like this one works!

    Now we factor:

    b^2 + 5b + 6 = (b+3) (b+2)
