What is 8 - (3+b) = b-9 solved out i'm having trouble because of the negative before the parenthesis

    Original) 8 - (3+b) = b-9

    Step 1) 8 (-3-b) = b-9

    Step 2) - 24-8b=b-9

    +8b + 8b

    Step 3) - 24=9b-9

    +9 + 9

    Step 4) - 15=9b

    divide both sides by nine

    I pretty sure it's - 1.66
