Tom rented a truck for one day. There was a base fee of $14.99, and there was an additional charge of $.97 for each mile driven Tom had to pay $215.78 when he returned the truck. For how many miles did he drive the truck?

    Explanation: the total Tom has to pay is 215.78$ we need to subtract the base fee of 14.99$ giving us 200.79$ if Tom has to pay 0.97$ for each mile driven we need to divide 200.79 by 0.97 to give us how many miles he drove this is equal to 207 miles
