Mark is planning to paint grass in his backyard. His yard is 21 ft. long and 12 ft. wide. How much grass does he need?

    Since garden is rectangular in shape,

    The area of grass needed to be painted =

    Length x breadth.

    Length = 21 ft

    Breadth = 12ft

    Area = (21 x 12) ft square

    234ft square
