The areas increase by ten feet squared each time. It goes from 5 to 7 to 9, which is a two number increase each time, which means it would be 5x2, and that's ten.

    The areas are as follows:

    Deck 1: 5 * 5 = 25ft squared

    Deck 2: 5 * 7 = 35ft squared

    Deck 3: 5 * 9 = 45ft squared.

They increase by 10ft squared each time.
