' 9/10 ' is not an improper fraction.

A fraction is a short way of writing a division problem.

    ' 9/10 ' means ' nine divided by 10 '.

When you perform the division, the quotient is the decimal form of the fraction.

    Examples:

    - - The proper fraction 9/10 leads to 0.9 when you do the division.

    - - The improper fraction 10/9 leads to 1.111 ... when you do the division.

Other than that, you'd need to tell us exactly what operation

you have to do with the fraction. We don't quite understand

the meaning of "work" the fraction.
