A local pizzeria sold 65 pizzas yesterday. Suppose the actual number of pizzas sold today was 60. Describe the number of pizzas sold as a percent increase or decrease, rounded to the nearest tenth.

    1. Find the difference.

    65 - 60 = 5

    2. Find out what percent 5 is of 65.

    5:65 * 100 = 7.7%

    Since the number of pizzas decreased, this means that it was a 7.7% decrease in sales.
