A potter uses 3/5 of a pound of clay to make a bowl. How many bowls could the potter make from 10 pounds of clay?

    We are writing proportion:

    1 bowl

    10 pound of clay - x bowl

    We are looking for x which is amount of bowl

    After cross multiplication:

    x=10

    x = = 16,66, so from 10 pounds we will make 16 bowls.
