Farmer Parson collected 1,183 chicken eggs this morning. He will put them in cartons that hold a dozen eggs each. How many cartons will he fill? How many eggs will be left over? I really need the answer

    I believe you take 1183 divided by 12 to get 98

    then take 98 * 12 to get 1176

    then mines 1183-1176 to get 7 left over
