Joanna bought a jacket for $31.15, a pair of gloves for $7.75, and a scarf for $6.50 the sales tax is 4 percent and all items are taxable. What is the total cost Joanna will pay for the items

    The easiest way to solve this is add all the prices, then add in the sales tax.

    31.15+7.75+6.5 = 45.40*1.04 = $47.22
