A number has the digits 2,5, and 4 to the nearest hundred number rounds to 200 what's the number?

    The hundreds place has to be 2 because 4 or 5 can't round to 2. Now we have to determine the tens place. 4 rounds down and 5 rounds up so if we put 5 in the 10s place the 2 would round up to 3. If we put 4 in the 10s place the 2 it rounds down and the 2 remains 2. So the answer must be

    245
