Alyssa claims that dividing by 4/5 is the same thing as multipling by 5 then dividing by 4 is she correct? Exaplain why or why not

    Division is the opposite of multiplication.

    If we take a fraction let's say 4/3 and divide it by 4/5

    Take the reciprocal and change the division sign to multiplication

    4/3 x 5/4

    (Both the 4 will cancel out)

    = 5/3

    Thus, it can be deduced that dividing 4/5 is the same as multiplying by 5 and dividing by 4
