Solution,

Perimeter of square (P) = 6 cm

Length (l) = ?

Now,

Perimeter of square=4l

or, 6=4l

or, l=6/4

length = 3/2 cm

Again,

Area of square=l^2

= (3/2) ^2

=9/4

=2.25 cm^2
