    0
    for

    f (x) = 4x + 3

    f (0) would be

    f (0) = 4*0 + 3, or just 3

    x is just set to 0 and everything it multiplies with vanishes

    if x < 0 the result is smaller then 3

    if x > 0 the result is bigger than 3
