The perimeter of a rectangular garden is 710ft. The two long sides of a garden are each 310 ft long. You are asked to find the length of the other sides. Which equation models this situation.

    P=710ft

    Side AB=310 ft

    Side DC=310 ft

    Side AD=side BC

    P of rectangle is AB+DC+AD+BC

    710=310+310+2AD

    710=620+2AD

    710-620=620+2AD-620

    90=2AD

    90/2=2AD/2

    45=AD

    Both sides are parallel so they are same

    So other 2 sides are 45ft each.
