A parent function f (x) can be translated to the right by h and up by k using the the following rule:

    G (x) = f (x-h) + k, where (h, k) is the translation vector.

    f (x) = x^2

    G (x) = f (x-h) + k=x^2-6x+9 - 3 = (x-3) ^2 - 3

    so h=3, k=-3.

    Recall the rule: h>0 = > right, k>0 = > up.
