Class A has 72 students and Class B has 54 students.

If 1/8 (9 students) of Class A (72 students) was transferred to Class B (54 students), then Class A would lose 9 students and Class B would gain 9 students

    54 + 9 = 63

    72 - 9 = 63

Also, Class A has 72 students, while Class B has 54 students. So Class A has 18 more students than B.
