    2x+3y=4

    x=2-3/2y

    3x+4y=7

    3 (2-3/2y) + 4y=7

    6-9/2y+4y=7

    -1/2y=1

    y=-2

    3x+4 (-2) = 7

    3x=15

    x=5

    So the two numbers are 5 and - 2
