    dimensions of the model / dimensions of the store = 1/20

    we know that in scaling

    Now substituting the value of scale model in the above ratio equation we have

    1/20 = 35/volume of the actual department store

    => volume of the actual department store = 35*20 = 700

    Therefore volume of the actual department store is 700 cubic feet
