Divide a 7 inch lin into three parts so that each part is 1 inch longer than the one before it

    7 - 1=6 6/2=3 3+1=4 So we have two lines 3 and 4 3-1=2 That way we have 3 lines But 4-2=2 not 1 So 4-1=3 1/3 (because thats how many lines we have) = 0.3 ... 1+0.3=1.3 2+0.3=2.3 3+0.3=3.3
