    Well this one certainly seems easier than the last one!

    It is important to know that dividend is the number that will be "sliced up" into a number of parts using the divisor.

    Let's start with the four digits. What is something that can be counted that often comes in four digits. I think of people. Maybe 2,000 of them.

    We have to have a reason to divide the people up into groups. How about we put them on buses?

    Here we go:

    There were 2000 people taking a tour to Washington D. C. Each bus can carry 50 people. How many buses will the tour guide need?

    2000 divided by 50 will give us that answer.

    2000/50 = 40 buses. Wow! That's a lot of buses! But it is what we will need.
