    72°

    Step-by-step explanation:

    original interior temp = 84°

    temperature rises at a rate of 2° in every 6 minutes

    This means that after 48 minute temperature will be;

    (48/6) * 2° = 16° ⇒16°+84°=100°

    When he returned to the car temp was 100°

    After driving temp was - 28°+100=72°
