How do you know when to factor a difference of squares versus a difference of cubes?

    it just depends on if the number is a perfect square or perfect cube

    Step-by-step explanation:

    if the numbers something like 9 (3^2) then you'll factor using difference of squares where if its like 27 (3^3) then youll factor using difference of cubes
