I sawed a piece wood in three pieces the ratio is 1:3:6, the longest piece is 2.5 feet longer than the shortest piece. How do I use the draw a diagram strategy to find the length of the original piece?

    The answer is 3 becuase if you get 6 divide it by the amount of ratios you get 6 divied by 3=.5,.5 is shorter the 3 by. 5
