Position of Diver below sea level = 19 meters

    In terms of integers

it will be represented as = - 19

The surface in terms of integers will be represented as = 0

To reach the surface we have to find additive inverse of - 19.

Additive inverse means, after adding two numbers we get Additive Identity.

Additive Identity of Integers = 0

    So, Additive inverse of - 19 = + 19, because

    ⇒ - 19+19=0

So, Distance travel by Diver to reach the surface = + 19 meter
