    Remark.

There are a couple of ways to do this. The easiest might be to find out just how many 1/6 and 1/4 equals.

    If there are 12 slices, then 1/4 * 12 = 3

    And again if there are 12 slices, then 1/6 * 12 = 2

    Jeremiah ate 2 pieces

    Jessie ate 3

    The total of what was eaten = 2 + 3 = 5

    There were 12 pieces. 5 were eaten 12 - 5 = 7. There are 7 left. <<< answer

There are 7 slices of pizza left

Jerimiah ate 1/6 of the pizza

    12/6 = 2

    Jerimiah ate 2 slices

Jessie ate 1/4 of the pizza

    12/4=3

    Jessie ate 3 slices

    3 slices + 2 slices = 5 slices

    They both ate 5 slices

    12-5 = 7

    There are 7 slices left
