There are 25 students in a class. 2/5 of them walk to school. Which method is a way to find the number of students who walk to school?

Divide 25 by 5 and then multiply the quotient by 2.

Multiply 25 by 5 and then multiply that product by 2.

    It is two out of 5 so, we have to be proportionate.

    2/5 = ?/25

    2 x 25 = 50

    50 divided by 5 = 10

    So it would be: Divide 25 by 5 and then multiply the quotient by 2.
