A number increases by 10%, and then decreases by 10%. will the result be greater than, less than, or equal to the original number? explain.

    It may be a bit wired, by the resultant is less than original number!

    you can prove by taking any number, and if you want to know how, comment!

    It would be less then I believe. An example would be: 20 x. 1 = 2, 2+20 = 22, 22 x. 1 = 2.2, 22-2.2 = 19.8

    You would end up with 19.8 when you started with 20
