First multiply the first by the first (x*x=X^2)

second multiply the second by the second (4*3=12)

finally the multiply the first by the second and the second by the first then add them together (X*3) + (4*X) = 7X

    the answer is:

    X^2+7X+12 = (X+4) (X+3)
