We have x + y = 140 degrees and x = 5y - 13;

Then, 5y - 13 + y = 140;

6y - 13 = 140;

6y = 153;

y = 153 : 6;

y = 25.5 degrees;

x = 140 - 25.5;

x = 114.5 degrees;
