If I have 24 peas growing a garden and 6 of them are white, what would the percentage be? What would 6 be in percent of 24

    So 6/24 can be simplified to (1*6) / (4*6)

    factor out the 6/6 and get 6/24=1/4

    we percent means 'parts out of 100' so

    1/4 of 100=25%
