    The mean is the sum of the scores divided by the amount of scores. Thus, the mean is (82+64+73+91+85) / 5, or 395/5, or 79.

    basically you add the scores together then divided the sum by the number of quizzes she had so

    82+64+73+91+85=sum=395

    then divide by number of quizes

    there are 5 scores so 5 quizes

    395/5=79

    the mean is 79
