M = $3000

$3000 = $750 + 50x

3000 - 750 = 50m

2250 = 50m

2250/50 = m

45 = m

so each student would have to raise $45 to reach their goal of $ 3000

or I suppose u could also set it up like this : 50m + 750 = 3000
