    The work done on the flight bag = 2041.23 J

    Explanation:

    Work : This can be defined as the product of the force move with distance along the direction of the force. The S. I unit of work is Joules (J)

    W = F * d ... Equation 1

    Where W = work done on the flight bag, F = horizontal force exerted on the bag, d = distance.

    But,

    F = F₁cos∅ ... Equation 2

    Where F₁ = force exerted on the bag, ∅ = angle the force makes with the horizontal

    Substituting equation 2 into equation 1.

    W = F₁cos∅*d ... Equation 3

    Given: F₁ = 21.0 N, ∅ = 66 °C, d = 239 m.

    Substituting these values into equation 3

    W = 21 (cos66) * 239

    W = 21 * 0.4067*239

    W = 2041.23 Joules.

    Thus the work done on the flight bag = 2041.23 J
