    8kg

    Explanation:

    Kinetic energy = 1/2 mv^2

    Where

    M = mass

    V = speed or velocity

    Given

    Kinetic energy = 36

    V = 3m/s

    Therefore

    36 = 1/2 x m x 3^2

    36 = 1/2 x m x 3 x 3

    Multiply through

    36 = m x 9 / 2

    Cross multiply

    36 x 2 = m x 9

    72 = m x 9

    Divide both sides by 9

    72/9 = m x 9/9

    8 = m

    m = 8kg

    Explanation:

    The equation is w = f * d

    36=3*d

    12=d 12 units is the mass
