    The answer to your question is Work = 1542.7 J

    Explanation:

    Data

    Force = 120N

    angle = 50°

    distance = 20 m

    Work = ?

    Process

    1. - Find the horizontal component of the force

    cos Ф = adjacent side / hypotenuse

    Solve for adjacent side

    Adjacent side = hypotenuse x cosФ

    Adjacent side = 120 x cos 50

    Adjacent side = 77.13 N

    2. - Find the Work

    Formula

    Work = Force x distance

    Substitution

    Work = 77.13 x 20

    Simplification and result

    Work = 1542.7 J
