A 3.5-kg mass has an initial velocity of 4 m/s. How much force is required to increase the velocity of the mass to 8 m/s in 3?

    F = M (V - U / t

    Mass M = 3.5kg

    Final velocity v = 8m/s

    Initial velocity u = 4m/s

    t = 3 secs

    Therefore,

    F = 3.5 (8 - 4) / 3

    = 3.5 (4) / 3

    = 3.5 x 4 / 3

    = 14/3

    = 4.67N
