A 7.00-kg bowling ball moves at 3.00 m/s. How fast must a 2.45-g Ping-Pong ball move so that the two balls have the same kinetic energy?

    Explanation:

    kinetic energy in bowling ball is 1/2*m*v^2 ...

    so,

    0.5*7*3^2

    0.5*7*9

    31.5J

    And if the ping pong ball has the same kinetic energy ...

    31.5J=0.5*0.00245*V^2

    (mass of the ping pong ball is turned in to kg)

    V^2 = 25 714.28 ...

    therefore V = 160.356ms^-1
