    Before Aristotle many other scientist, philosophers had deduced that the Earth was round but non came with proof as solid as Aristotle.

    The two of his famous observation that forced to believe that Earth was round are,

    1. The greater the height of the cliff you are standing the further you can see.

    2. The shadow of the Earth casted over the moon during lunar eclipse was always round and not any other shape
