    Answer

The right answer of this question is (A)

    Expalantion

The mechanical waves are those which needs the medium for their propagation, for example, sound waves and water waves etc. In these waves, the atoms of medium oscillate as parallel or perpendicular to propagational wavers to transfer energy. The Longitudinal and Transfer waves are two types of mechanical waves and particle in these waves oscillate parallel and perpendicular to energy waves respectively. In the given options, the option B and C are given reverse and in the option D, sound waves show independently on medium.

So, the right option of this question is (A).
