    The answer is A. The atoms make physical contact. The contact then repels the atoms apart causing the cars to bounce away after the collision. Cars are made up of solid matter, matter is made up atoms. When two cars collide, its forces are are opposite each other thus repulsion is experience, the greater force will determine the course of movement after collision.
