Suppose you jumped onto a bathroom scale. The scale initially indicates a high weight and then settles down to your actual weight. Is this statement true or false? Could you explain why it is true or why it is false?

    Yes it is true

    Explanation:

    When we jump on the weighing scale we carry a momentum with us due to virtue of our motion. When we come in contact with the machine it measures the force of contact that is force of impact while colliding and is much greater than our weight but once we loose all our momentum when we come to rest the machine measures weight that we have.
