    distance=46m

    Explanation:

    initial velocity (u) = 40m/s

    final velocity (v) = 52m/s

    acceleration=12m/s²

    distance (s) = ?

    v²=u²+2as (using equ. of motion)

    (52) ² = (40) ²+2 (12) s

    2704=1600+24s

    24s=2704-1600

    24s=1104

    s=1104/24

    s=46m
