True that seismic waves are waves that move through the Earth as a result of an earthquake.

    Answer: Option A

    Explanation:

As we consider that earth crust is composed of plates named as tectonic plates and the irregular movement of these tectonic plates lead to creation of earthquakes. So when these earthquakes are generated, the movement of these tectonic plates will lead to production of seismic waves.

They propagate through earth's surface just before generation of earthquake. So determining the changes in the seismic waves or getting significant seismic signal indicate the warning of occurrence of earthquakes. So it can be said that seismic waves move through the Earth as a result of earthquake.
