This is for Criminal Law:

Jerry walks up to Jill, a former girlfriend, and tells her, "Tomorrow when I get my paycheck, I'm going to buy a gun and kill you." Jill immediately gets a gun out of her car and kills Jerry. Jill: claims she killed in self-defense.

1. Is this a valid self-defense?

2. Why or why not?
