    Kinetic energy = (1/2) (mass) (speed) ²

    1,080 J = (1/2) (60 kg) x (speed) ²

    (speed) ² = 1,080 J / 30 kg = 36 m²/s²

    Speed = √ (36 m²/s²) = 6 m/s.

    We can't say anything about the jogger's velocity, since there is

    no information in the question to describe the direction of his motion.
