Why do astronauts on the moon bounce when they walk?

    The moon has less gravity than the Earth does. This means that the force of gravity pushing down on them is not as strong as it is on Earth. The force of gravity on Earth is 9.8m/s^2, while it is only 1.6m/s^2 on the moon.
