    The formula for the current through the circuit is ...

    Current = (voltage) divided by (resistance).

    I hope you can see from this fraction that DEcreasing the voltage

    or INcreasing the resistance will both decrease the current.

    You have control over both of these: The voltage depends on

    how many batteries or the size of the power supply you use.

    The resistance depends on how many resistors you put into

    your circuit, and their values. So you can adjust both of these

    quantities, to make the current in the circuit be anything you want.
