A car slams on its brakes, coming to a complete stop in 4.0 s. The car was traveling south at 60.0 mph. Calculate the acceleration.

    The answer should be 45m/s^2

    vf=0

    vi=60mph

    t=4.0s

    60mph has to be converted to seconds so there is 60 minutes in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute ... so you time 60*3=180

    180/4.0

    45m/s^2
